Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is broad, balanced, relevant and stimulating, promoting curiosity and engagement from all.

Our aspiration is to enable the children to develop enquiring minds; we want them to have a love of learning and enjoy the sense of achievement they get when they ‘conquer’ a learning challenge.

Throughout Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, English and mathematics are taught daily, while other subjects are taught weekly, including science, history, geography, music, French, art and design, physical education, PSHE and ICT. Phonics is taught daily, using Read Write Inc. and pupils across the school use Accelerated Reader as a scheme to develop reading skills.

In Reception, children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, with our fun and interactive continuous provision enabling our youngest children to explore and be creative, both in their classroom and in our outdoor area.
